Growing local
SKINC, the St Kilda Indigenous Nursery, invite people down to talk about using coastal sandbelt plants from this region – focusing on native foods, habitat plants, wildflowers/grasses and pond life. The people at SKINC are exceptionally knowledgeable, experienced and love to share what they know.
This is one of my favourites growing in different settings locally – myoporum parviflorum – in a pot in a courtyard, on a nature strip and part of a public landscape on the Port Melbourne foreshore at Beacon Cove.
